HealthPLACE on the Move is a mobile health screening facility whose ultimate mission is to improve the health status of West Virginians by increasing the awareness of health risks, disease prevention and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Primarily designed to visit our large group customers and to participate in community and civic events, HealthPLACE on the Move provides basic health screenings and distributes health education and promotion materials.

The basic health screening includes blood pressure testing, body composition assessment, and total cholesterol/glucose tests. After screening the employees of our larger groups, results of the blood work are confidentially sent to each participant directly via US Mail within 7-14 days of the test. If authorized by the participant, results are also sent to the participant's family doctor.

Mountain State is pleased to provide this value added service that will strengthen existing relationships with our groups and promote health and wellness to the people of West Virginia. The screenings will raise awareness of how lifestyle behaviors can affect health. The risk factors determined from these screenings can often be managed by modifying lifestyle habits, working with one's primary care physician or a combination of both."
