I. Credentialing Program

Provider Alert 10/31/2007: Updated information has been posted to the on-line credentialing section of the website.

Beginning January 1, 2008, all provider types will be required to be credentialed prior to contracting. Providers will not be reimbursed by Mt. State until successful completion of the initial credentialing process.

Mountain State credentials and periodically recredentials providers participating in its commercial PPO and Point of Service (POS) networks as well as Mountain State providers who participate in Highmark's Medicare Advantage/FreedomBlue® PPO network. Providers must satisfy initial credentialing requirements in order to become participating providers and must maintain compliance with Mountain State's recredentialing standards (as they may be amended from time to time), in order to continue participating.
